Does sandalwood smell (oil, perfume, soap, etc.) attract snakes? - sandalwood oil

The scent of sandalwood is really attracts snakes? Is this a reality or a myth? I researched online and some sites say that they actually do. I do not need oil from sandalwood use really bad, but I'm so afraid of snakes.
